Freedom

Freedom

Freedom in the rain.
An ocean of humming noise,
A pounding roar,
The flat and cold white sky.
Under your umbrella all is quiet.
You are apart.
A different degree of consciousness.
You speak and the rain
Loses your words.
You cry and the rain
Melts away your tears.
Are you afraid
Of the coldness, the roar?
Are you afraid
Of losing yourself?
Cast away your umbrella.
Look into the endless gray void.
Sing, dance, shout,
Let the coolness of mercury fill you
And brim over from your eyes.
Cast away your loneliness,
Your regret, your anger, your shame,
Your burdens, your chains.
Let go of yourself.
Become part of this moment.
Become one of a thousand droplets
Flying in the rain.
